Podcast

Editor

These two podcasts were the first creative content introduced by Jaygasht. Based on the Khoushe magazine from the era when Ahmad Shamlou, a renowned contemporary poet, served as editor, the podcasts featured curated articles and excerpts on literature, cinema, theater, and music, tailored for a modern audience. Full articles and poems were presented on a separate channel, Khoushechin.

In the Khoushe podcast, I edited twelve episodes, each averaging about an hour. The director and I adopted a creative approach to editing, blending narrators' voices, sound effects, archival audio, and interlude music based on the theme of each episode. We were committed to keeping the podcast modern and relevant to contemporary issues, while also preserving the historical atmosphere from fifty years ago, when Khoushe magazine was first published. For example, when selecting music, we ensured that the production year was no later than the magazine’s publication date to enhance the historical ambiance.
